RBW Logistics celebrated the opening of its new Savannah facility, its first outside the Augusta area, with an open house on January 26. The event featured invitees from the Georgia Ports Authority, various freight forwarders, local and state economic development authority representatives and several manufacturers and distributors. The event gave RBW a chance to show off the new facility, located conveniently close to Savannah’s thriving port, and entice potential logistics partners with its state-of-the-art approach to logistics. |

At RBW, giving back is an important part of our business philosophy. It’s why this year, we have decided to field a Light The Night Walk Team, raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The team – comprised of RBW team captains John Albright, Frank Anderson, Al Dallas, Aaron Ferguson, Nicole Floyd and Chip Pearson – have set the ambitious goal of raising $8,500 before the walk on October 1, 2011. RBW is working with Georgia's Quick Start program for the training of nearly 40 new RBW associates. "The Quick Start program has been a tremendous resource for us as we have brought on so many new associates,” commented Al Dallas, RBW’s Client relations Manager. “They have really been a partner in this process, and have brought true value to our operation." For more than 40 years, Quick Start has provided customized workforce training free-of-charge to qualified businesses in Georgia. Quick Start enhances job-specific training with instruction in core skills, collaboration skills, instructor skills and leadership. |
