ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned or requested:**

  • Design new processes, features, and functions to improve system and operational efficiency.
  • During implementations — or as needed — support organizational processes and assigned customer(s)
  • Develop and tests software personally and also review and test software with key business owners or designated users.
  • Spend time with the user community and performing actual operational tasks to identify “pain points” and opportunities with the current EDI and WMS applications and work to develop solutions and process changes to resolve them.
  • Ensure all development activities can be completely integrated into the EDI system.
  • Develop documentation and training material (as needed) related to EDI/WMS development work.
  • Provide weekly status to Operational and IT Management on all active projects.
  • Monitor established policies and procedures to ensure conformance with Information Technology and Company objectives.
  • Plan, develop, direct, and coordinate processes.
  • Work with operations and customer service on the creation of all customer SOPs, serve as the front-line contact for all customers as to changes in SOPs, regarding changes in customer service or operation’s functions to find ways to simplify/improve processes or reduce direct labor required for performing specific tasks.
  • Coordinate and participate in the development of documentation and training material as needed for WMS and EDI.
  • Serves as liaison between customers and IT for related EDI communication issues.
  • Supports the establishment by monitoring KPIs in all departments to ensure conformance to the customer agreed requirements.
  • Takes direction from Operations, IT regarding additional IT management, administration, and maintenance.
  • Maintain databases of facility hardware, software assets, and other activities.
  • Monitor established policies and procedures to ensure conformance with Information Technology and Company objectives.
  • Design and develop forms, process maps, and instructions to support vendor compliance requirements.
  • Assists in post-implementation analysis, documentation, and compilation of training materials for training

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Two years warehouse and vendor compliance experience, including business planning, vendor compliance rollouts, business and functional requirements analysis, use case analysis, testing, and implementation.
  • Skilled at looking for ways to make business processes simpler or utilizing systems and software to minimize the human effort required to perform a task.
  • Efficient at multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks so that the most business-critical tasks are addressed and resolved first. Able to recognize when assistance or escalation is required.
  • Great problem-solving ability along with good teamwork and communication skills.
  • Maintains a positive and professional work relationship with employees, suppliers, and customers.
  • Strong Windows PC and Server Operating System skills (XP Pro, Windows7, Windows Server, MS Office, and Open Office)
